Lorenzo Insigne - NapoliFabio Andreotti, agent to Lorenzo Insigne, has revealed that his client wants to remain at Napoli amidst reports the striker could be leaving the club.

The 24-year-old has been subject to a number of rumours suggesting he would be leaving the Partenopei, but wishes to stay put.

“Insigne is currently quite fatigued at the start of the season, but that’s normal,” Andreotti said during an interview with Raffale Auriemma on Radio Crc.

“Yesterday Lorenzo proved he is on the right track.

“It is important because he wants to play in Euro 2016 with Italy.

“He is a playmaker because he is good at running at defenders and making assists.

“Last season Lorenzo stressed his displeasure at being played in a role that did not reflect his quality.”

Andreotti was then questioned on Lorenzo’s international career.

“The national team is important.”

“If a call comes from Conte [Antonio], which I am confident it will, then it will be the last piece of the jigsaw for the Azzurri.

“As for transfers, Lorenzo has been subject to a few clubs coming in to try and acquire his services with big offers.

“However, he only wants to remain at Napoli.

“He loves the city and feels lucky because he is a Napoli fan so he’s playing for the team which has a place in his heart.”
