Medhi Benatia has revealed he thinks of Italy as home amid speculation he may join Juventus.
The Bayern Munich defender played in Italy for Udinese and Roma before joining Bayern last summer but the 28-year-old could be on his way back to Serie A.
“I always think of Italy as my home,” Benatia told reporters after Bayern beat AC Milan 3-0 in the Audi Cup.
“I still follow Serie A as I have many friends back in Italy.
“But I am not sure I will leave Bayern this summer.
“I still have four years left on my contract and there have been no discussions about leaving.
“I have heard about rumours but nothing has happened.
“All I am thinking about is playing well in the next game.
“I am here at Bayern today, tomorrow we will see.”
