Fiorentina forward Federico Bernardeschi announced his delight for his side’s 2-1 victory against Barcelona, and tips the Tuscan outfit to reach great heights in the upcoming season.
The Italian youngster bagged a brace which eventually proved enough for the Viola to hold out for the win, a result which he claims his side were lucky to experience.
“There is a great amount of satisfaction amongst the team and fans this evening,” Bernardeschi told reporters after the game.
“Usually a 2-1 win against Barca is something you only ever get to see on the TV.
“But we know that we’re a great team, and we work hard every day.
“I want to let the supporters know that this a strong team and that we can go very far.”
Fiorentina begin their Serie A campaign against AC Milan on August 23.
