Bologna
Antonio Mirante – 5.5 – Untested
The Bologna shot-stopper didn’t have much to do throughout the game but did make a great save from a free-kick midway through the second half. Helpless for the goal.
Adam Masina – 5.5 – Reserved
The full-back didn’t venture forward on too many occasions but he did his job in defence well.
Luca Rossettini – 5.5 – Strong
Did well to cope with the challenge of marking Gregoire Defrel, limiting the service that the forward received.
Domenico Maietta – 5.5 – Intelligent
The midfielder come defender did well in his role, using his intelligence to read the game well and intercept vital passes.
Ibrahima Mbaye – 5.5 – Frustrated
Found it difficult up against Nicola Sansone who kept managing to get past him, and also didn’t contribute much going forward.
Lorenzo Crisetig – 5.5 – Passenger
The young midfielder didn’t get involved in the vast majority of the match in attack or defence.
Godfred Donsah – 6 – Engine
Seemed to be everywhere, raced across the pitch but had to be substituted early in the second half.
Erick Pulgar – 5.5 – Tough
The Chilean put it in some good hard challenges on his opponents to win back possession for his side. Didn’t help his team out in attack enough though.
Franco Brienza – 5.5 – Uninvolved
The forward didn’t have the impact that was expected. He tried to get his team going by running at the opposition but it just wasn’t working for him.
Mattia Destro – 5.5 – Isolated
Found it difficult to find space between the Sassuolo defenders but came close to scoring from a free-kick which was well saved by Andrea Consigli.
Fillipo Falco – 6 – Tricky
Jinked his way past players at ease at times but his final pass was just not good enough.

Alex Ferrari – 6 – Adventurous
The substitute injected some pace into the Bologna side and also tried his best to support in attacks.
Amadou Diawara – 5.5 – Unlucky
The youngster was very dynamic with his forward runs but was unlucky that he knocked the ball into the path of Antonio Floro Flores for the winning goal.
Matteo Mancosu – N/A

Paolo Cannavaro – 6 – Solid
A solid performance from the veteran who managed to stop the ball getting to Destro as well as Mancosu when he came on.

Seemed very composed with the ball at his feet and swept everything up at the back to lead to attacks for his side.
Federico Peluso – 5.5 – Difficult
Had a difficult game against Falco who managed to weave his way past Peluso frequently but Falco’s poor final ball saved him.

Sat in front of the defence and tried his best to calm the play down and keep the ball for his team.
