Newly promoted Serie A side Bologna are set to complete deals for Club Universidad Catolica defender Erick Pulgar and San Lorenzo forward Hector Villalba in the coming week.

The Rossoblu are on the outlook for new talent to strengthen their side heading into the new campaign, and have serious financial clout with American owners, headed by president Joe Tacopino who took over the club in September 2014.

According to Sky Sport Italia, a deal for La Católica’s 21 year-old defender is almost complete and the centre-back is expected to arrive in Italy in the next few days to formalize a deal with Delio Rossi’s side.

Azulgrana forward Villalba is due in the peninsula next week, and the 21-year-old is hoping to join his new teammates when the formalities are complete, and could feature in the Felsinei’s last friendly before the start of the Serie A season, which sees the Rossoblu face Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Buenos Aires born forward has made 68 appearances for the Cuervo, scoring 12 goals, since making his debut in 2012, while the Los Cruzados defender Pulgar has managed 35 appearances, finding the net seven times for the Chilean outfit since moving from Deportes Antofagasta in 2014.
