Davide Astori has officially completed his move from Cagliari to Fiorentina.
The former Roma defender arrived in Florence a few days ago to finalise his move to the Viola which has now been completed, with the 28-year-old spending next season on loan at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
“Fiorentina announces that is has acquired, on a loan with an obligatory purchase, the rights to Davide Astori from Cagliari,” a statement on Fiorentina’s official website said.
The Italy international has been at Cagliari since 2008 and has scored three goals in 179 games for them.
He spent last season on loan at the Stadio Olimpico with Roma and scored once in 30 games, but the Giallorossi decided to refuse the option of signing him permanently.
Astori began his career in the youth system of AC Milan.
