Torino’s veteran forward Amauri is attracting interest from the Serie A side Carpi, according to the Granata’s president.

The former Italy international moved to Torino in 2014 after spells with Chievo, Juventus, and more recently Parma which made him a prominent figure in Italian football.

“We are evaluating Amauri and he is being looked at by Carpi,” said Torino president Urbano Cairo to Tuttosport.

The communications mogul, who has run the Granata since 2005, seems to believe that a move is best for the 35-year-old.

“The player is fine and rightly wants playing time,” said Cairo.

“We will find a solution that satisfies everyone.

“The future of Bruno Peres, meanwhile, is out of the question; he stays and so does [Nikola] Maksimovic.”

Amauri made 20 appearances for Torino during the 2014-15 Serie A and scored the one goal.
