Amauri TorinoCarpi are looking to land Torino forward Amauri.

Sean Sogliano, sporting director of Carpi, contacted his counterpart at Torino to request the former Juventus striker.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Amauri is the fourth choice striker at Torino and is ready to change team, with Carpi seemingly the most interested in signing the player.

The Serie A debutantes have been trying to acquire Sergio Floccari from Sassuolo, but there have been problems in landing the 33-year-old centre forward.

Therefore, Sogliano has focused his attentions on Amauri, in search of a striker to lead the line.

At the moment, Carpi have Ryder Matos, Kevin Lasagna, Antonio Di Gaudio and Kamil Wilczek up front, substantially the same players from last season in Serie B.

Sogliano is looking to improve the squad with a striker that has vast experience in Serie A.
