Di Francesco - SassuoloHaving beaten Modena 2-0 in the Coppa Italia fixture, Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco was impressed with Federico Peluso’s return.

The Italian international joined the Neroverdi in July 2014 but had been injured for much of the second half of last season’s Serie A campaign.

Eusebio Di Franesco’s men where able to see local rivals Modena off with relative ease telling reporters after the match: “We had to grow into the game, in the first half we could not do what I asked the boys to do.

“I didn’t want to pressure them too much, but we had given little or nothing in the final stage in front of an opponent who has quality players…”

He then was also impressed with one player in particular, stating: “Peluso had not played much and has held up quite well even after 70 minutes and we are trying to get him back to match fitness.”

Di Francesco’s men now progress to the fourth round where they will face Serie B side Cagliari.
