Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa put his side’s defeat down to a loss of concentration rather than tiredness.

His side lost 3-1 away to Torino despite taking the lead through Marcos Alonso and the 45-year-old discussed his team’s performance as well as the return of Giuseppe Rossi, the possible departure of Joaquin and the team’s mentality.

”Tiredness? I saw more of a loss in concentration to tell you the truth,” Sousa told reporters after the match.

“We had possession and we tried to close the gaps.

“Then we conceded and Torino showed themselves to be mentally a stronger and they believed in a victory.

”(Giuseppe) Rossi? He came onto the pitch in the right frame of mind and we saw this when he tracked back after having lost the ball.

“Joaquin? I don’t want to go back to discussing this topic.

“Our mentality? I like my team to defend with the ball at our feet always getting closer to the opponent’s goal.

“We took too many risky decisions which backfired and Torino profited from them.”
