The Argentinian has been placed on the market by the Giallorossi following a disappointing debut season in the Italian capital in which he only made 10 starts.
According to Firenzeviola.it, though Iturbe looked close to a move to Genoa, he now looks set for a move to Florence with his agent now looking for accommodation in the Tuscan city.
It is believed Iturbe was never keen on moving to the Grifone. The deal is not yet to be completed by Fiorentina, however, as Roma would like to sell the former Hellas Verona man outright.
The 22-year-old moved to the Stadio Olimpico from Hellas after an impressive debut season in Serie A in which he scored eight goals in 33 appearances.
