Atalanta new-boy Gabriel Paletta insists the club has the potential to push for a top ten finish in Serie A.
The former Liverpool and AC Milan defender has joined La Dea on loan, and hopes to be available for selection on Sunday for the game against Frosinone.
“I had many other options to join different, but I believe we can fight for a top ten finish,” Paletta told reporters at his presentation at Atalanta.
“I talked to everyone like[German] Denis, to [Giacomo] Bonaventura. I need to play, and this will be a good opportunity for me, so I chose Atalanta.
“Atalanta are the only club I wanted from the first moment I knew they were interested in me
“I already trained with the squad yesterday, and hope to play on Sunday.
“It will be the coach’s decision, so we will see.”
