Former AC Milan defender Luca Antonini has said he has faith in new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

The Italian, who now plays for fellow Serie A side Genoa, believes Mihajlovic is a good coach to lead the Rossoneri to victory.

“I believe Mihajlovic has great qualities as a coach and as a person, I hope he can do well,” the 33-year-old told Milan Channel.

He then moved on to Milan’s transfer market moves, saying he hopes they manage to get Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has been linked with a move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

“I hope Milan can get him because he guarantees victory and with him they would have a big chance of winning the league,” he said.

Antonini then commented on another player rumoured to be joining Milan in Alessio Romagnoli, who he compared to Milan legend Alessandro Nesta.

“He is a nice young player, he would be a great purchase for Milan, he reminds me of Nesta a lot,” he said.
