Frosinone coach Roberto Stellone claims his team suffered in their defeat to a much better established Serie A side Atalanta.

Frosinone lost 2-0 against Atalanta in a game that could have ended a lot worse for the Canarini if it hadn’t been for the great performance pulled off by on-loan goalkeeper Nicola Leali.

“We suffered a lot in the first half hour of the game,” he told Radio Rai after the match.

“After taking the lead, they had plenty of opportunities to double it. After the break we changed shape but the second goal killed us off completely.

“We will learn from our mistakes and look to the next match.”

The Serie A new-boys face Roma in their next league encounter, after the break for internationals.

“Roma after the break? It will be a very intense game,” Stellone said.

“We will work hard in order to come away with a positive result from it.”
