Genoa snap up Manchester City youngster on loan

Genoa have announced the signing of Manchester City youngster Olivier Ntcham on a two-year loan deal, with an option to buy.

The 19-year-old French youth international has been an integral part of the City youth team since joining from Le Havre in 2012, and is an ex-teammate of Juventus star Paul Pogba.

His current contract with City was due to expire next year, but signed a new five-year deal with the Citizens, before immediately being loaned out to the Grifone for the next two seasons.

“Genoa announces the acquisition from Manchester City, with the formula of a two-year loan including buyout and counter-buyout clauses, the ownership of the rights to midfielder Olivier Ntcham,” read a statement on the official Genoa website.

“The French national under 19 player and star of the youth team, played last season for the Citizens under 21 team.”
