Felipe Melo’s potential move to Inter looks to be even closer to its completion following Galatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoglu’s negative comments about the Brazilian.

Melo has been linked with return to Serie A for some time now with a possible swap deal with Gary Medel also mooted, although the Nerazzurri have insisted that they will not sell the Chilean.

“We can not afford this investment, also Medel is a very aggressive player who could receive a large number of yellow cards in our league,” said Hamzaoglu to Aksam as he distanced Cimbom from Medel.

Hamzaoglu was also clear he that he wanted Melo to leave the Istanbul based club after club president Dursun Ozbek left the player with time to make his mind up over his future.

“Melo isn’t of any use to Galatasaray anymore, his decision hasn’t changed because it’s him who doesn’t want to stay,” said Hamzaoglu.

The 32-year-old has previously played for Juventus and started his career in Italy with Fiorentina.

Galatasaray hope to receive a fee of €2-3 million for Melo but the Biscione are keen to spend less and the player’s agents reportedly attempted to encourage the Istanbul side to let him move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
