Pizarro - FiorentinaHellas Verona are targeting the former Fiorentina midfielder David Pizarro, in a bid to bring the Chilean back to Italy.

Pizarro ended a 10-year stay in Italy, aside from a loan move to Manchester City in 2012, after leaving the Viola in July to move back to Chile and rejoin his boyhood team Santiago Wanderers.

Sky Sport Italia report that the 35-year-old could be making a return to Serie A, where he already has one Scudetto and two Coppa Italia triumphs to his name.

Verona have been coy in their interest of Pizarro, having already brought in two former Fiorentina players in the shape of Luca Toni two years ago, and Giampaolo Pazzini this summer.

Pizarro enjoyed a three-year spell under coach Vincenzo Montella in Tuscany, playing as part of a midfield three in over 80 games, contributing four goals for his efforts.
