Juventus are both set to miss out on Erik Lamela, with the current Tottenham Hotspur attacker looking set to join Ligue 1 side Marseille.

The former Roma star has endured a troubled time in England, but will put those times behind him with a summer move to France.

Sky Sports reported that Lamela was close to a move to Inter on August 25, but the Nerazzurri join Juventus in a failed attempt to sign the 23-year-old, with Michel’s side in France becoming the front-runners now according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The deal is expected to be on loan with an option to buy at the end of the 2015-16 season, with Spurs attempting to recoup the €35.5 million they forked out for him whilst at Roma.

The Argentinian managed two goals in his 45 appearances since 2013 in the Premier League, just a fraction of what he achieved back with the Giallorossi, in which he scored 19 goals in 62 showings.

Interesting hope this happens as he is not suited to the premier league .
