Carpi.

Inter left it late to keep their 100 per cent record in tact, with Stevan Jovetic again the man of the moment, converting a penalty with just minutes remaining.

“It’s nice to have won this match,” Mancini revealed in his post-match press conference.

“The team can still improve a lot however.

“I believe Jovetic can do better.

“He is not currently 100 per cent but we’re happy with how he is playing.

“We conceded a poor goal, but I’m actually quite happy for Carpi.

“They may struggle to save themselves, so the goal is good for them.

“[Jeison] Murillo and Miranda were excellent. Despite the goal, I thought the defence did really well.

“I hoped we could have closed the game out earlier, but 1-0 is a scoreline which is always dangerous.

“We were good and created chances, yet I was hoping we could have secured the result much earlier than we did.”

The press conference closed out with Mancini speaking about the supposed interest of Sampdoria’s Eder.

“He is still a Sampdoria player and I have nothing more to add.”
