Inter coach Roberto Mancini has called Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over a deal for Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Inter coach is keen to bring in a winger, and it is understood that Wolfsburg’s Ivan Perisic still remains the Nerazzurri’s preferred option, but Mancini’s personal phone call to the president of the French champions will try and accelerate a deal for the former Napoli player.

According to Mediaset, however, the two clubs are unlikely to come to an agreement for the Argentine unless Inter can whittle down the French outfit’s asking price for the 30-year-old to just €10 million.

Lavezzi left Napoli in the summer of 2012 to join the French side for a fee of around €26.5 million on a four-year deal, however he may be set to leave the Parc Des Princes after entering the final year of his contract with Laurent Blanc’s side.
