Inter are not giving up their pursuit of forward Fabio Borini from English Premier League side Liverpool without a fight, despite the high valuation fee set by the Reds.

The 24-year-old has only featured sparingly under Brendan Rodgers since his move from Roma in 2012 and was sent on a season long loan to Sunderland during the 2013/14 campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, Inter have deemed Liverpool’s estimation for the former Chelsea striker as excessive, but that has not deterred Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini from testing the Reds resolve for Borini’s services.

It is reported the Anfield outfit value the Italian international somewhere in the region of €8 million, which is currently proving to be a stumbling block in negotiations over the player’s signature.

Borini, whose contract expires in June 2017, has accumulated a total of 38 appearances for Liverpool, scoring three goals and laying on a further three assists in the process.
