Inter have made their first move for Liverpool’s Fabio Borini, who looks set to leave Merseyside this summer.

The 24-year-old has failed to settle with The Reds since his move in 2012, and with Fiorentina’s interest dying down, the Nerazzurri have a chance to give the Italian a new home.

Sky Sports report that Roberto Mancini’s side have made a €8 million offer for Borini, in an attempt to add to their ranks with the transfer window set to shut on Monday.

Inter look set to add Ivan Perisic to their squad from Wolfsburg in the coming days, with Borini identified as another attacking option for Mancini.

With the Derby della Madonnina less than two weeks away, should Brendan Rodgers part ways with the unsettled striker, Borini’s first match in the black and blue of Inter could see him face AC Milan in one of the biggest games of the Serie A season.

The former Roma striker spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Sunderland, scoring 7 times during 32 appearances.
