Inter are keen on bringing in Atletico Madrid’s Guilherme Siqueira to bolster their squad after failing to lure the likes of Fabio Coentrao and Domenico Criscito to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The Brazilian originally joined the Nerazzurri as an 18-year-old in 2004 before making his senior breakthrough at Udinese, and looks likely to return to play in Serie A as his position with Atleti has been filled by Filipe Luis.
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Inter are willing to make an offer of €9 million for the player to make a return to Italian football before the transfer window comes to an end as they have previously agreed personal terms with the defender.
The 29-year-0ld made an impressive rise to prominence with the Rojiblancos despite making only 24 appearances since joining the side in 2014.
