Inter striker Mauro Icardi believes his side will return to the Italy’s top table.

The Nerazzurri won a historic treble in 2010 but, since then, have failed to equal that success and also failed to qualify for any European competition this season, but Icardi thinks that they will soon be one of the big names in Italian football again.

“After four years of Inter not winning anything you have to change things and try new paths,” the 22-year-old told La Repubblica.

“The coach has the ideas and we have followed, and huge investments have been made so that we return to the levels we were at before.

“You will see that, little by little, a great team will be reborn, and we will succeed.

“Inter deserve it, for it’s history.”

The Biscione started their season with a 1-0 victory over Atalanta last weekend and face a trip to Carpi on Sunday.
