Inter, admitting he could move to the Nerazzuri.

The Zenit St. Petersburg defender has spent the last four years with the Russian outfit, however talks of a return to Serie A have increased over the summer with Roberto Mancini’s Inter leading the chase for Criscito, an option the 28-year-old appears keen to take.

“I miss Italy, it is nice to be garnering interest from another team,” Criscito told Sky Sport Italia.

“My agent is working on it, we will see what happens over the next fortnight.

“There is a chance [I could join Inter], Inter are interested. I would love to return to Italy, especially to play for a great team like Inter.

“It is also true that I’m fine in St. Petersburg, playing for a big club, but this year they are limiting the number of foreigners in the league and I could find less playing time.”

Criscito also believes a move back home will benefit his international prospects.

“There is more visibility when you play in Italy, the Azzurri would be another reason to return to Serie A.

“I have grown a lot in Russia, it has been a great experience that I would do again.”
