Inter new-boys Miranda and Stevan Jovetic were both content with their first appearances for the Nerazzurri, despite falling to a defeat to Galatasaray.

The duo made their debuts for the club in the 1-0 defeat, courtesy of a goal from former Nerazzurri star Wesley Sneijder, on Sunday evening and were happy with how the match went.

“I felt good considering I had not played in a while. As it’s my first game, I am satisfied, physically I’m fine,” Jovetic, who played just under half an hour, told the Inter Channel post-game.

“Of course there is still work to be done, to find the right understanding with my teammates. We have a good group here and hope to start the season well.”

Miranda, who started the game, largely echoed the sentiments of his new Montenegrin teammate in saying there is much improvement needed if the team are to do well this season.

“There is a lot we can improve on, but it was just the first game. We have a lot of quality and we’ll work step by step in order to build a great team,” Miranda said.

“I am very happy to wear this shirt and to play for a huge club like Inter. It is an honor and I will always give my best for these colors.”
