Juventus are hoping to add to their midfield options by buying Luiz Gustavo from Wolfsburg.

The Bianconeri sold both Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal earlier in the summer and now new signing Sami Khedira is out injured for the next two months, therefore the club is eager to sign another midfielder.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Gustavo is Juventus’ number target for midfielder reinforcements.

Any potential deal, however, will be complicated given Wolfsburg’s stance on the player.

The German side have invested a lot of money in the player and now he is one of their most important players, thus the club are aiming to keep the Brazilian international.

An alternative for Juventus could be Fredy Guarin of Inter.

Much like Gustavo, any deal for Guarin would be difficult as the Nerazzurri are adamant the player will not leave the cub.
