Juventus defender Paolo De Ceglie is reportedly on the verge of completing a transfer to Sampdoria in the coming days.

The 28-year-old has been steadily linked with a move away from the Bianconeri this summer due to a lack of space in Massimiliano Allegri’s line up and it looks like he may be set to play the 2015-16 campaign with the Blucerchiati as he searches for more time on the pitch.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Sampdoria have already finalised negotiations with both Juventus and the player and are only awaiting De Ceglie’s signature to make everything official.

Reports suggest that the Italian will be leaving the Old Lady on an initial season-long loan, while La Samp will have the option to sign him to a permanent three-year contract once the season comes to a close.

De Ceglie, who spent the first half of the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Parma, scored three goals in his 13 Serie A appearances last term.
