Negotiations between Juventus and Atletico Madrid for Brazilian left-back Guilherme Siqueiro have stalled, with the defender looking increasingly likely to stay put this summer.

The reigning Serie A champions were thought to have reached an agreement with the Rojiblancos for the 29-year-old defender, with Siqueira expected to fly to Turin to agree on personal terms before completing the deal.

However, the move looks to be in jeopardy with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that discussions between both clubs have broken down, and as such, the Bianconeri have ended any interest in the player.

As such, Massimiliano Allegri will have to adapt his current crop of players to the left-back role, with Kwadwo Asamoah and Simone Padoin are said to be in contention for the role.

In addition, given the current status of the move, Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta is said to be interested in strengthening positions further up-field as the commencement of the new season edges closer.
