Schalke coach Andre Breitenreiter is not in favour of Julian Draxler moving to Juventus.

Draxler had recently flirted with the Champions League finalists. However, a move failed to materialise with the Italian giants seeing their offer of €15 million plus bonuses rebuffed by the Gelsenkirchen club.

The player was also known to have agreed personal terms with the Bianconeri for a four year contract worth €3.5 million per season.

“Julian is still with us and I don’t want him to go,” Breitenreiter told German newspaper Bild.

The coach is determined to hang on to the creative midfielder. The Bianconeri are set to raise their bid for the German youngster but it is not expected to meet Schalke’s asking price of €30 million.

Draxler made just six appearances for the Royal Blues in what was an injury ravaged 2014/15 Bundesliga campaign.
