RuganiJuventus have turned down a bid of €20 million from Napoli for defender Daniele Rugani.

The 21-year-old returned to the Bianconeri this summer after a loan spell at fellow Serie A club Empoli where he worked under the guidance of new Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Partenopei have bid €20 million for the player but Juventus have no interest in selling with the Italian transfer window set to slam shut on Monday night.

Rugani’s impressive performances during his spell with the Azzurri have seen him linked with a host of clubs across Europe, including Premier League giants Arsenal.

Rugani was purchased outright by the Old Lady in February this summer after he remained at Empoli as part of a co-ownership deal between the clubs for the two previous seasons.

The young defender featured in every fixture of the 2014-15 season without picking up a single booking.
