Juventus target Axel Witsel has reportedly refused to renew his contract with his current side Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The Belgian has also been courted by AC Milan but would look likely be more open to a move to the Bianconeri as they can offer Champions League football this season.

According to Sky Sport, the 26-year-old, whose contract expires in 2017, has turned down a new offer which means Zenit are likely to lower their asking price from €35 million to €25 million.

Witsel could replace Arturo Vidal who has left the club to join Bayern Munich earlier in the summer.

If Witsel is signed, he will replace Sami Khedira who is expected to be out injured for around two months and Claudio Marchisio who is likely to be out for another two weeks.
