AC Milan‘s new signing Juraj Kucka was delighted to have made his debut for his new club on Saturday night against Empoli, but admitted the Rossoneri still have work to do.

Goals by Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano at the Stadio Meazza gave coach Sinisa Mihajlovic his first three points of the new campaign, though the display was far from impressive.

“I hadn’t expected any of this,” Kucka told Sky Sport Italia after the match. “It’s all happened so fast and I’m pleased to have played and for the victory.

“Mihajlovic was happy we won, but with our performance he was far from satisfied. We need to do better.”

Milan play city rivals Inter next in Serie A, and the Slovakian was in no doubt about the importance of that game.

“We have to properly prepare for this match,” he continued. “We need to use the break for internationals to concentrate fully on being ready to face Inter.”
