Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva is hoping for revenge against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana for the Coppa Italia final defeat last season.
Candreva and his side lost to Juve 2-1 in last season’s Copa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico but the Italian international does not believe Juventus are unbeatable.
“The Coppa Italia final defeat still hurts everyone at the club,” Candreva told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I want revenge for what happened in May and I am sure the whole team wants the same.
“I feel like we were robbed as we were the dominate team throughout the match.
“For many of us it would have been our first trophy and it would have been deserving after we had such a great season.
“When we face them this weekend in the Supercoppa, everyone in the team will be determined to beat them.
“We are confident we can beat Juve, they are certainly beatable.
“Juve will always be strong but we have a settled side who are in great shape.”
