Edin Dzeko was met by more than 1,500 fans as he arrived in Italy ahead of his prospective move from Manchester City to Roma.

The Bosnian striker touched down in Rome’s Fiumicino airport at around 19.15 local time before heading over to Roma’s training ground, Trigoria, to meet with the club’s officials. The striker was swarmed by fans on his arrival, stopping to take photographs and sign autographs for supporters.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Giallorossi reached an agreement of just over €20 million with the Citizens, whilst Dzeko will earn €5 million per season after penning a four year deal. The 29-year-old will wear the number 9 shirt at the Olimpico, last occupied by Marco Borriello.

Dzeko will undergo a medical tomorrow before being officially presented as a Roma player in the evening.

Prior to joining Manchester City, the Bosnia international represented German club Wolfsburg. His move to the Italian capital will see him link up with international teammate Miralem Pjanic.
