Juventus are reportedly facing some late competition to sign Schalke’s Julian Draxler, in the form of Manchester United.
The Bianconeri are eager to replace the creativity lost with the departures of Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo, and as such have touted the German international as an appropriate replacement.
However, according to English newspaper The Daily Express, The Red Devils in their search for more firepower to help striker Wayne Rooney, have matched The Old Lady’s €27 million bid for the 21-year-old.
Draxler has also previously been linked with a move to fellow Premier League side Arsenal.
Despite only being 21-years-old, Draxler already has an impressive 15 international caps to his name for Germany and was part of the 2014 World Cup winning squad.
Last season the German endured an injury plagued season and only played 15 times in the Bundesliga for the side from Gelsenkirchen.
