Felipe Melo GaltasarayInter coach Robert Mancini has confirmed the club’s interest in signing Galatasaray midfielder Felipe Melo, but has rejected the possibility of Gary Medel leaving.

The 50-year-old tactician has revealed that the Nerazzurri must reduce their squad size ahead of the upcoming Serie A season, but will look at selling Yuto Nagatomo rather than the Chilean International.

“Melo would be a good addition to the Inter side but he has a contract with Galatasaray,” said Mancini to TrtSport.

“As for Medel, he will not be leaving.

“We do have to sell some players because we are only allowed 25 in the squad, however Medel will not be one of those who will leave.

“Instead, it is likely that Nagaotomo will be sold.”

It has also been reported by Rai that the Milanese outfit will prioritise the selling of players before they pursue any more signings.
