After an astounding 4-0 victory at home over Lazio, Chievo coach Rolando Maran gave full credit to his team for a quality performance that puts them top of Serie A.
Riccardo Meggiorini scored a goal and provided a phenomenal assist to Alberto Paloschi as the Flying Donkeys looked devastating in attack for the full 90 minutes.
“The result might suggest an easy game, but it wasn’t at all,” said an enthusiastic Maran to Sky Sport Italia after the match.
“We created a lot of pressure and scored a lot and even had a goal wrongfully ruled out for offside.
“Tonight we managed everything really well and all are very happy.”
The coach continued with compliments towards Paloschi who netted a brace on the day and always looked dangerous.
“The quality of Paloschi’s individual play is an important factor for us,” added Maran.
“I congratulate all my guys, they were great.”
