Chievo coach Rolando Maran expects his side to face a difficult encounter against a highly motivated Lazio side.
The Mussi Volanti started the season with a win at Empoli, which Maran thinks can be the start of a special season using a new formation.
“4-4-2 is providing a lot of satisfaction,” the former Vicenza tactician noted to radio station Deejay Football Club, “and the facts are proving us right.
“I am convinced it could be [Lucas] Castro’s season; we have to have an identity based on the characteristics of our players, and everyone here is convinced of that idea.
“I hope Lazio are a little stunned by their [Champions League] elimination, but they earned the right to play there by their achievements on the field.
“Despite the disappointment, I think they’re a highly motivated team.
“Our objectives are to be safe as soon as possible and then we’ll see. We know that the team have incredible potential,” Maran concluded.
