Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio believes rivals AC Milan will be their main challengers ahead of the new Serie A season.
Although the Old Lady have claimed four consecutive titles, Marchisio admits his side are not fussed being favourites.
“If I have to pick a club that will challenge us, I would say Milan,” The 29-year-old told La Stampa.
“Their history says it all and they have not won it for many years now.
“They say we are favourites and it is normal because we have won for the last four years.
“But we won’t dwell on it because we know it will be difficult to win it again.”
In addition, Marchisio believes the current crop of players will have to take on a larger responsibility to fill the void left behind by the recent departures of high-profile players.
“Pirlo, Vidal and Tevez were key players, but it is normal that after all these years, there are changes to the squad. Some players have aged a bit,”
“This will increase the responsibility for our players, but the core of this team will always be there.”
Juventus commence their title defence against Udinese on August 23.
