Edu Vargas - NapoliMarseille are interested in acquiring Napoli forward Eduardo Vargas but a fee is yet to be agreed.

The Chilean international who moved to Naples in 2011 has spent the last three seasons on loan at Gremio, Valencia and Queens Park Rangers and is now surplus to requirements for new coach Maurizio Sarri.

According to Il Mattino, the Ligue 1 side have made an offer of €6 million for the 25-year-old, but Napoli have set an asking price of €9m to prise the striker away from the Stadio San Paolo.

Vargas has previously been linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal to unite with compatriot Alexis Sanchez but is reportedly keen on working with L’OM coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa was the coach of Chile when Vargas received his first international call-up whilst he was playing for Universidad de Chile in his homeland.
