AC Milan forward Alessandro Matri could be on the move to Marseille.
The French side recently tried to steal Simone Zaza from Juventus but after failing that have changed targets. With Matri destined for more bench time in Milan this season following the arrivals of Carlos Bacca, Luiz Adriano and Mario Balotelli, a move for him to France is possible.
According to La Provence, the 31-year-old is now a main priority for the French Ligue 1 side and they will try to close a deal before the transfer window closes.
They may have competition for his signature, however, as the Italian international has also been linked with a move to Premier League side West Ham United recently.
Matri has scored just one goal in 19 appearances in both of his spells as a Rossoneri player, between 2002 and 2007 and again since 2013.
