Vrsaljko - SassuoloNapoli are due to launch an increased bid to bring in full-back Sime Vrsaljko from Sassuolo as the sales of unwanted players are set to be confirmed.

The Croatian international was one of many Neroverdi players to catch the eye of the bigger teams when Sassuolo achieved their greatest ever finish during the 2014-15 Serie A season, ending the campaign in 12th place.

Sportitalia believes that the Azzurri will return with an offer of €9-10 million after being rebuffed by the Neroverdi coach Eusebio Di Francesco, who is adamant that 23-year-old Vrsaljko will stay in Emilia-Romagna despite the player’s keenness on a move to Napoli.

The increased offer will be funded by the sales of Gokhan Inler who has been linked to Leicester City and Fiorentina and Eduardo Vargas, with the Chilean named in connection with a move to Al Ain or Marseille.

Sassuolo have so far rejected a part-exchange deal involving former Torino midfielder Omar El Kaddouri, but that may change if Napoli send more cash to the Mapei Stadium, with the Partenopei confident a deal can be completed for the Croatian.
