Lorenzo Insigne - NapoliNapoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has praised his new club coach Maurizio Sarri.

The former Empoli coach joined Napoli earlier in the summer and Insigne insists he will give his all for his new coach and the team.

“Sarri knows so much about football,” Insigne told Sky Sport Italia.

“He is a great coach and I am hoping to learn from him.

“He told me that he wants me to play as an attacking midfielder.

“When I was a child I always dreamed of playing in that position.

“I would love to play as the number 10 for Napoli.

“But it is right that the club has retired the number which used to belong to [Diego] Maradona, who is one of the best players of all time.

“I will give my all for the shirt and try to give joy to the fans.”

Insigne went on to talk about Gonzalo Higuain and Pepe Reina, and the Italian international is hoping the two players can star at Napoli this season.

“Higuain is happy to be at Napoli and I am sure he will have another great season here.”

“We missed Reina last season as he is a leader of men and has won so much as a player.

“Now he is back I am sure he can lead this club to glory.”
