Manuel Garcia Quilon, agent of Napoli forward Jose Callejon, has revealed that his client is not close to joining Inter despite rumours claiming otherwise.
The 28-year-old, whose current contract with the Partenopei is set to expire in June 2018, has been heavily linked with a possible move to multiple big clubs throughout Europe in recent weeks including the Nerazzurri, Arsenal and Chelsea, though his agent insists that there have been no major developments in his transfer situation at the moment.
Quilon spoke to the press about Callejon’s rumoured move to Inter and admitted that his client is likely to remain at Napoli for the 2015-16 season.
“Jose will join Inter? There is no truth to this, only reports that have not been confirmed by anyone,” said the agent.
“So I will reject claims that the player can move to the Milan side.
“Will he remain at Napoli next season? Yes, I think he will.”
