Serie A side Napoli are eager to acquire Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Dembele before the transfer window slams shut.
The Partenopei have had to rebuild their midfield this summer after losing the likes of Valon Behrami and Gokhan Inler and have brought in Allan from Udinese and Mirko Valdifiori from Empoli.
According to Sportitalia, the Neapolitan side offered to take the Belgian international on loan for the season, an offer which Spurs rejected.
However, it’s thought that if Napoli did offer a large enough cash sum the deal would be possible.
The 28-year-old has been with Tottenham since 2012 and has been regular in the North London side’s first team since then.
In three seasons he has made 118 appearances scoring five goals. He had previously played for Fulham.
