mathias vecino fiorentinaFiorentina midfielder Matias Vecino could move to Serie A rivals Napoli.

The Uruguayan has spent time out on loan with Cagliari and Empoli since joining La Viola in 2013 and his performances during both spells have made him a target of some other clubs including rivals Napoli.

The Corriere Fiorentino reports, however, that the Partenopei recently had an offer for the 24-year-old refused by Fiorentina as it was lower than their asking price of €15 million.

It is reported that they offered €9m plus bonuses for his signature.

Despite being born in Uruguay, Vecino has only appeared for their Under-20 side and holds an Italian passport, which has led to speculation that Italy coach Antonio Conte could call him up to the Azzurri squad for their European qualifiers soon.

They host Malta and Bulgaria on September 3 and 6 respectively.
