Napoli have officially completed the signing of Empoli defender Elseid Hysaj for a fee of around €5 million.
The deal between the two clubs had been already been agreed four days ago, but it has now also been ratified by the Italian footballing federation.
The Albanian International has signed a five-year contract with the Partneopei which will see him remain at the club until 2020, with the transfer being officially announced on LegaserieA.com
He made his first appearance in the Azzurri shirt on Sunday evening during Napoli’s 3-2 loss to Nice in a pre-season friendly.
The 21-year-old defender has already played under coach Maurizio Sarri during their time together at Empoli last season.
During 2014/15, he was ever-present for the Tuscan side making 36 appearances.
Hysaj will now become Napoli’s sixth summer signing during this transfer window.
