Napoli are ready to offer up to €7 million for Genoa defender Sebastian De Maio after being priced out of moves for other transfer targets, including Udinese’s Thomas Heurtaux.
The Partenopei are considering their defensive options with the future of Kalidou Kouliably remaining in the balance with the Premier League duo of Everton and Southampton both reportedly being keen on the Frenchman and have been looking at several candidates and are now primed to move for De Maio.
According to Premium Sport, the Partenopei are willing to part with up to €7 million for the 28-year-old after they were not prepared to match Udinese’s valuation of Heurtaux. The Neapolitans had also been on the trail of Nikola Maksimovic of Torino, however the Granata had no intention of selling the Serbian defender.
De Maio has spent most of his career to date with Brescia, spending seven years with the Lombardy based outfit before joining Genoa in 2013.
