Pescara coach Massimo Oddo focused on the positives after his team’s 4-1 loss to Torino which ended the club’s Coppa Italia run.
The Serie B side started the match much better and deservedly went ahead with a goal by Michele Fornasier, but eventually were overrun by Torino, who eased into the next round.
“[Before the match] I asked the boys to play open football and I think we did it,” the former AC Milan defender told reporters after the match
“We constantly attacked Torino and played a great first half.
“After the third goal we maybe gave up.
“Torino are a great team with great physical and dribbling abilities.
“The better team won, but I think we held our own in Serie B.”
